Our mission is to bring continual discounts to Jacksonville residents, relieve them from searching for deals in town and bring revenue back to our local businesses while sharing local activities and events all in one place.

Value Hound was let loose by working moms who just don’t have the time to search for the best deals online or clip coupons.  Plus, there is so much to do in Jacksonville we wanted to alleviate the search by partnering with local businesses to bring their deals and fun events to you with an easy search system.

Recently its founders hit rough times, similar to so many and our current economy has taken its toll on our lifestyle. Venturing out for a $60 matinee on a Saturday with our children or take them to a $50 dinner out on the town really became a struggle.  An evening of taking the kids bowling for an hour, dinner out and viola ~ our few hour staycation cost us $120!  Plus, it really killed our monthly budget.  But the smiles from our kids were priceless.  So we thought, how can we keep the family fun and still enjoy Jacksonville?  Should our time with our family be replaced with hunting online looking for discounts, clipping and printing coupons and checking our email daily for those ‘daily deals’ (that we end up missing out on or may not have the money ‘that day’ to purchase)?  It’s gotta be simpler than this!

So Value Hound was born. Founded by Tish Hill and Julie Morton from Jacksonville, Florida and created by the efforts of many local working mothers devoting hundreds of hours of sniffin’ out the best deals to compile a massive list of discounts for all of us.

What started as an idea has become reality and our goal is to help businesses prosper while saving our neighbors hundreds of dollars a year.  It’s a win win for all!
